I am interested in using design as a means of storytelling and creating change through empathy. My self-directed project ‘Worlds Apart’ has been made to showcase the lives of people around the world through image and story. The hand-written text and painted images imply the idea of a diary; personal stories of everyday life. While some of these photographs look as though they’re a step back in time, all of these environments have been photographed in 2018 and show the incredible difference between places around the world at this very moment. I hope that through the design of this book and presentation of my images readers can gain a greater appreciation and love for those around them.
