My name is Sarah Wheeler, and I’m the girl Beneath The Brim. I found a passion for photography at a very early age, in fact by the age of 15 my photographs had already been featured in The Land newspaper and Dolly Magazine. My interest as a designer (photographer) was sparked by a
severe flood in my little hometown of Rowena. I started to take photos of this natural disaster – my sisters playing in the flood water. I realised after the photos were released out on social media that through the talk of my little town I had a real talent, and an eye for photography.
Who inspires you as a designer?
James Day was really my first inspirational photographer. He inspires me as a designer because we have had a very similar upbringing. His Father passed away when he was 12, which also happened to my Father when I was 12. James
also just has such a kind heart, he truly is an incredible being, as well as an amazing photographer.
Describe your creative process in one sentence.
Most of my ideas are derived from my dreams; I dream it, write it down, draw it out, scout the location, contact the model/s and create the moment.
What are your go-to fonts?
Times New Roman is definitely a go to, it’s been with me my whole life so it seems. As for a decorative font I’m really fond of MrBlanketon Pro. I love the handwritten look.
